The Huron Medical Center Surgical Services Department provides outpatient and inpatient surgeries to adults and children alike. The surgical team is available for emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How to Prepare for Surgery

The information listed below is for the benefit of Patients who have been scheduled for Outpatient Surgery at Huron Medical Center:

The Day Before Surgery: Call the Huron Medical Center Operating Room at (989) 269-8933, ext. 4280 between 1:00 pm-3:00 pm for your scheduled time of arrival on your day of surgery.

The Day of Surgery: Report to Central Registration on the first floor at the main entrance. Bring the following with you:

• Your folder from the doctor’s office.

• A list of your medications.

• A list of any allergies you may have.

• You may have a light breakfast and take your prescribed medication.

• Please shower or bathe the night before surgery.

• Insurance Cards – your insurance may not cover the entire bill. If you have concerns we can arrange to have you visit our Patient Financial Services.
